Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 7 provides that the TBLE may adopt Policies and Procedures that are then submitted to the Supreme Court. The Policies and Procedures provide additional information about the enforcement of and procedures for implementation of the provisions of Rule 7 and may be found in the PDF below.
Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 6 governs Admission after a license to practice law has been awarded. The Appellate Court Clerk's Offices oversee the process of administration of the oath. Rule 6 may be read here.
Notice -- The Tennessee Supreme Court adopted a revised Rule 7 and amendments to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 6, 8 (RPC 5.5) and 43 on December 21, 2015. The revised Rule 7 is effective January 1, 2016.
